In memory of Rocket

In memory of Rocket

These prints are available to buy on my etsy at: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Everlydark

My dog is my life and the complete embodiment of all of my happiness hence her name 'Happy'

I like to share pictures of my beautiful Happy with the world because she as all dogs has the amazing ability to make a person no matter how bad they are feeling smile.

I follow thousands of dogs on Instagram and have become quite attached to a number of them.

This is where i met Rocket. His posts would make my day so much better purely by seeing his gorgeous face. Sadly dear Rocket passed recently which was very sad and i felt the overwhelming need to paint him. I wanted to do this in memory of his amazing character but also for his adoring owners to have something they could treasure and look at with a fond smile of his memory.

Dear Rocket came from an organisation called Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California and i thought it would be nice to make some prints of Rocket's painting and raise some money for such a wonderful cause.

All money made on these prints will be donated to Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California.

Words from Rocket's mum:

"Rocket brought so much love and joy into my life. He was my best friend; very loyal and loving. He loved belly rubs, chin rubs, naps, bike rides, going to the beach, chasing squirrels and (probably his favourite) barking at cats!
I have never met a more determined and strong fighter. No matter what challenges he faced, he was always happy...and always hungry; it didn't matter what we were eating, he wanted some. He even liked pickles!"

So if you would like to give a loved one a gift and at the same time give to an amazing charity that rescues bassets and gives them a chance at life please consider this to be the gift to give and give more!

many thanks
